Effective range of the M4 is 27 meters before drop-off iirc. The 10% you get from Prepared are hardly enough to compensate for the actual damage drop-off over distance. As your firearms stats increase you will see your rifle's DMG also increase so keeping those at the high side of the DMG range is ideal. I have a lightweight M4 that is pushing 23.8 DMG with 22.5 EAD my favorite rifle so far. Apr 25, 2016 I look at each Assault Rifle to find the best Assault Rifle in The Division. Looking at damage, handling and base stats to conclude which Assault Rifle is. I see you have an Ad Blocker enabled and I get it, I use them too. I run this site completely on my own and it can be quite time consuming but I feel it is an important resource for the community.
This is a DPS build for PvE. I don't recommend using it outside of a group with a healer that can overheal you, because you are lacking sustain.
If you feel like you are too squishy, switch the Skill Haste on the Holster for Health. If you want even more Toughness, get Health instead of Skill Haste on the Gear Mods aswell.
It can be used with literally any weapon in the game, I suggest running with an assault rifle due to the Enemy Armor Damage and an bolt-action sniper for one hit headshots though.
If you feel like you need it you can run with Stability or Accuracy instead of Critical Hit Damage on the weapon mods.
